Requests for repeat prescriptions can be made in person, by post or e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. (E-mail users should be aware that this is not secure). Postal requests should be sent with a stamped addressed envelope if the prescription is to be posted back. No telephone requests can be accepted unless authorised by a GP.
Prescriptions will be ready for collection after 2pm in two working days.
Prescription collection – you must collect your prescription in person or provide us with your consent if you require a friend/relative to collect your prescription for you.
Early Requests – if your request is more than two weeks early, you must provide a reason for the early request. Your prescription may not be processed if ordered early without a valid reason.
Some local pharmacies operate a prescription collection service. This can be arranged through the pharmacy. If you have given a pharmacy your consent to collect your prescriptions, you should allow time for the pharmacy to collect and dispense your medication before collecting it from the pharmacy.
Prescription requests from hospital consultants are not urgent and will be processed in the normal timeframe.
Please note – WE DO NOT FAX PRESCRIPTIONS TO PHARMACISTS.
